"At the National Association for College Admission Counseling's annual conference last month, several counselors discussed what they described as an increasingly common scenario: students using a fast-track application to apply to a college that's a member of the Common Application," the Chronicle of Higher Education reports. Florida Attorney General Opens Investigations Into 5 For-Profit Colleges (Chronicle of Higher Education)
"Florida's attorney general is investigating five for-profit colleges for possible misrepresentations about financial aid, deceptive recruiting tactics, and other practices, an official confirmed on Tuesday," the Chronicle of Higher Education reports. "The investigation will try to determine whether the colleges have violated Florida's law prohibiting deceptive or unfair business practices, said Ryan Wiggins, a spokeswoman for the attorney general."
