The Curious Case of ‘Catnip’ and the Common Application (Chronicle of Higher Education)

Although students continue to apply in large numbers to colleges and universities around the country, high school and college admissions counselors are reporting changes in students' postsecondary education plans, according to the National Association for College Admission Counseling's annual report, 2010 State of College Admission. In large part, these changes can be attributed to the state of the economy.
